Costa Rica is a Central American country with great tourist potential that is valued as one of the most visited international destinations. One of its main sources of income is tourism. Democracy, peace, a country without an army since 1948.

Northern Plains

The Northern Plains tourist area of ​​Costa Rica has several protected areas, lakes, lagoons, volcanoes, rivers and waterfalls. In order to take advantage of these natural resources, there has been a thriving tourism development in services and adventure sites, for the enjoyment of nature.

Northern Plains has "evergreen" humid forests and fertile plains; natural environments that are sanctuaries for aquatic birds, reptiles, mammals and the prehistoric Gaspar fish. For this reason there are important sites of interest for wildlife observers such as the Caño Negro Wildlife Refuge and other reserves in the area.

Puntarenas

The coasts of the Puntarenas tourist zone are adorned by islands, beaches and natural treasures. It is a tourist destination par excellence. Its territory offers a variety of beach and sun attractions that complement the protected zones, insular and continental areas. Such is the case of the Absolute Natural Reserve of Cabo Blanco, the Islands of San Lucas, Chira, Tolinga and Isla del Coco; The latter, although geographically outside the Gulf, is a high-ranking attraction of the Costa Rican tourism product.

South Pacific

The South Pacific of Costa Rica is an incredible area where the tourist will enjoy and be surprised, taking Costa Rica with them in a special place in their memory. You can choose between recreational activities on the beach or discovering marine resources, including whale and dolphin watching; walks through the mangroves and their landscapes; practice of sport fishing, surfing, walks along the trails of the national parks, professional diving, energetic walks to the summit of Chirripó and also the enjoyment of the botanical gardens and their impressive waterfalls.
